Two boys had a fight in the street. One was small and used his hands like a true boxer(拳击手). But the other boy was older and stronger. He used his hands, and his feet too! The smaller boy could not stop the kicks.
I happened in a small town in the USA in 1958. The smaller boy was Mulhammad Ali (then called Cassius Clay). He was 16 years old. He was the best young boxer in town. His friends called him "the King". Ali told them that one day he would be the best boxer in the world.
The bigger boy was Corky Baker. He was "King of the Streets". He thought that he was the best fighter in town. He told his friends, "I can win against Cassius Clay at any time." "Let's see you do it." said his friends.
One day Corky waited in the street. When Ali came along Corky stopped him. "Hi, Cassius!"  he said. "If you want to go down this street, you must pay me a dollar. Then you can go."
"I won't pay you any dollar," said Ali. That was how the fight started. Ali could not win against Corky in a street fight. Corky won the fight. Ali was afraid to go down that street again.
The other boys in the town laughed at Ali. "You'll never be the best in the world," they said. "You can't win against Corky Baker!"

Every year several thousand people are killed on the roads in Great Britain. Every year between one and two hundred thousand people are hurt. These people are killed or hurt in road accidents.
There are rules to make the roads safe, but people do not always obey the rules. They are careless. If everybody obeys the rules, the roads will be much safer. How can we make the roads safer?
Remember this rule. In Great Britain traffic keeps to the left. Cars and buses and bikes must all keep to the left side of the road. In most other countries traffic keeps to the right.
Before crossing the road, stop and look both ways. Look right and left. Then, if you are sure that the road is clear , it is safe to cross the road. If you see small children or very old people, help them to cross the road. We must teach young children to cross the road safely. We must always give them a good ple. Small children must not play in the street.

Fifty years ago, zoos were places where people could go to see animals from many parts of the world. The animals lived in cages that were easy to keep clean. However, for the animals the cages were small and impossible to hide in. Although the zoo keepers took good care of them, many of the animals did not feel comfortable, and they often became ill.
In modern zoos, people can see animals in more natural conditions. The animals are given more freedom in large places so that they can live as they could in nature. In an American zoo, visitors can walk through a huge special cage that is filled with trees, some small animals and many birds. Some zoos have special places for visitors to watch animals that live in the desert or under water. Some other zoos have special places for animals that live in cold conditions like the bear from Arctic(北极).
Modern zoos not only show animals, but also keep and save rare(稀有) animals, for the reason the grandchildren of today's visitors will still be able to enjoy watching these animals.

A.animals are kept separatelyB.animals are not so well taken care of
C.animals have more freedom than before D.visitors can walk through a large cage freely
63.In modern zoos _______ feel more comfortable than in the old ones.
A.the keepersB.the visitors, not the animals
C.neither the animals nor the visitorsD.the animals
